Love :: St. Ives Green Tea Scrub

I’m not a product pusher, and I never thought I’d use this blog to do that. However, almost every morning when I use this I think, “I wish all my friends knew about this face scrub.” So, since I consider you friends, I’m telling you about it.

I used to be a huge fan of The Body Shop’s Tea Tree scrub. In fact, for years I couldn’t find anything to match it. And occasionally, I’d break down & buy some or ask for it as a gift. But for me, it is just too expensive for me to justify using regularly.

So I’ve tried scrub after scrub looking for one that 1) felt like it did a thorough but not harsh job exfoliating and 2) left my face feeling squeaky clean, not like it had a film worth of moisturizer that needed to be washed off itself. About the best back up product I had found was St. Ives Apricot Scrub, but that was really too harsh also.

Then I saw this. Because St. Ives was already my backup, when I saw the green tea “flavor” I knew I needed to give it a try. I’m glad I did. It is perfect! It has fine granules, creates an appropriate amount of lather and rinses off cleanly.  Also, because you can find it at any drug or grocery store, it is more accessible than The Body Shop product. (Or follow the link below.)

So, if you’re like me and go against your dermatologist or facial technicians advice & use a scrub everyday, check this one out. I think you’ll love it as much as I do. If you do try it (or you already use it) let me know in the comments below.

  1. Hmmm – I’m a tee tree fan, too. I’ve been using Trader Joe’s tee tree stuff, but I’m going to check this one out, too! Thanks for the info!

    1. Since moving ITP, I don’t have a Trader Joe’s that is convenient, but if I had been shopping there, I’m sure I would have tried theirs, too! Let me know what you think about the comparison!
