A random post

September was pretty dismal, at least for Babbette’s Book Blog. I look to my side bar & see that I only had four posts. I haven’t had that few posts since… well, since last September! What is it with that month? I know what is going on for September 2010 – we just sold our house, we’re in the process of building a house – that we visit just about every day (see pic), we’ve just come off a stretch of shooting five weddings in six weeks, did I mention I have a full-time real job?

Anyway, I read a post a few weeks ago from a fellow blogger about not apologizing when you’re not posting, and I get what she’s saying. When I started this blog, it was for me. It was to serve my purposes, and if I’m not blogging, then obviously I am busy with other “purposes.” While that is true, I still can’t help the tinge of guilt I feel when I’m not as active as I want to be.

Which leads me to the fact that I do have activity I’m behind on. I have four reviews I need to write. And, this afternoon when I finished the fourth of aforementioned blog subjects, I opted to start a new book instead of writing one of the reviews that needs to be written. Yes, I opted to further oppress my guilt and give into pleasure.

But that’s just where I am these days. Thanks to those who are still checking in on me!

  1. Building a new home is exciting but nerve wracking. I hope your plans go smoothly.

    Have a great week.

  2. I'm learning to not apologize, too! Seriously, this blog is your vehicle…you get to drive it wherever you want to! 🙂 Enjoy reading. And no guilt!!!

  3. Don't you worry about us, your faithful readers! I'm sure I'm not alone when I write that it seems best if bloggers fit their blogs into real life instead of letting the blog be their life.

I'm not going anywhere and eagerly, but patiently, await future posts!

Congratulations on your house – very exciting!!
