Advance Reader Copies
I’ve been blogging since 2008. When I first discovered ARCs, I went overboard requesting copies and quickly became overwhelmed—far more than I could realistically read and review. So, I stopped requesting them altogether.
Now, I’ve slowly started requesting and accepting advance reader copies again. If I’ve requested a book from you, it means I’m either familiar with the author or have researched the book and feel confident I can provide a thoughtful review that contributes positively to its marketing.
If you’re pitching a book to me, please consider the types of books I read and enjoy. My primary focus is literary fiction, though I also read women’s fiction and historical fiction. Occasionally, I’ll explore books that require suspending disbelief, but that’s never my go-to genre.
Some of my favorite books were written by Amor Towles, Elizabeth Strout, Wally Lamb, Abraham Verghese, Terry Kay, Barbara Kingsolver, John Irving, John Boyne, Ian McEwan.
I’m an active member of a number of online communities and market each post I publish.
