Another Music Giveaway :: Cindi Hall

Some of you are familiar with the name Cindi Hall – she’s the co-writer for many of my friend Derek’s songs, including Your First, the song that made it to the top 10 of the CMT Listener Choice Awards. Well, her CD is now out & she has graciously provided a copy for me to host as a giveaway!

I have to tell you, I’m no music reviewer, but this is a great CD. For anyone who listened to Your First while the competition was going, you’ll be pleased to know that this song is first in the line-up. Also included are two of my other favorites Sleepin’ with the Window Open (title track) and Footprints on the Water.

To sum up the style of Cindi’s music, it’s not quite country and not quite jazz. Is Southern Jazz a genre? Anyway, it’s catchy and soulful all at the same time. And sometimes a little dark. (I mean, could I really like it that much if it weren’t a little dark?) Really good stuff.

If you don’t believe me, cruise over to Cindi’s website & sample some of the music there. But don’t forget to come back over & enter the contest!

Also, in the small world category, Shannon Bailey was the photographer for her album shoot. Shannon was my next-door neighbor for a couple of years growing up. She’s an awesome portrait photographer as evidenced by the pics on the album.

To enter the contest, leave a comment below. (Don’t forget to include your email address if it isn’t on your profile!) To double your chances, become a fan (or LIKE) Babbette’s Book Blog on Facebook. (But let me know that you did!)

The contest will run until May 15.

Good luck to all & thanks for visiting!
