Book Blogger Appreciation Week

Apparently, it is Book Blogger Appreciation Week. Who knew?

I’m actually one of those who thinks that there are waaayyy too many “appreciation weeks” out there, but since this one is for me, we’ll celebrate! 😉

Actually, I’ve been wanting an excuse to thank you, my readers, and so I’m going to turn this into Book Blog READERS Appreciation Week! Ha!

Seriously, there a lot of you out there – many more than I ever thought would visit, much less become loyal readers, and so I do thank you. (I must add that this makes me feel ashamed when I’ve been slack about reading & don’t have frequent posts.) In case you’re wondering how many I consider a lot & how I know you’re loyal, I’ll tell you.

Google Analytics tracks visitors to my website, the pages they visit, how long they stay, where they came from, etc. And, in the seven months that I’ve been doing this, I’ve had 291 unique viewers (that is, unique computers) to visit my site. And, many of you are very loyal – a little more than 54 percent of you have visited 9 or more times. (If you’re a blogger and you’d like to know how to set this up for your blog, post your email in the comments field & I’ll send you instructions.)

So, I really do appreciate you visiting! And, as all bloggers will tell you, I wish more of you would comment. I created this blog to be a dialogue, and if it is just me spouting… well, that’s not dialogue.

But regardless, thanks for reading!

PS – I’m almost finished with The Help by Katheryn Stockett, so be on the lookout for that post.

Update: I hit 300 unique viewers today! Whoo Hoo!

  1. Great post! I agree – I love the readers of my blog, and it's always so nice to get comments. That creation of dialogue, that's when you know a post you've written has really clicked with the people reading it.

  2. We love you Elisabeth! Your comments and insights are unique and refreshing–I'm so happy for you (and us) that it has turned out to be such a success!
