Ok, who didn’t know that the second priest didn’t die of natural causes? I picked that one as soon as I heard he died, it was just a matter of who did it. And, of course I figured Patrick did it. All of his questioning the ethics of what cops can and can’t do . . . a deliberate ploy by Picoult to lead the reader to assume he’s being racked by guilt.

But it was refreshing – and necessary – for it to have been Caleb. I liked that. I hadn’t …

While having lunch with one of my frequent readers, she suggested that in addition to writing about books here, I also review restaurants. She knows that my husband and I love trying new spots, and while I failed to make good on the new gem she and I enjoyed that day, I thought I’d give it a try.
Friday night, Scott and I joined four others for dinner at Craft. Craft is a fairly new creation in Buckhead, led by chief/owner Tom Colicchio, co-creator of Gramercy Tavern in NY (where I’ve …

I’ve just finished Part II of Choose Your Life & it is like I’ve read two different books. Part I was very practical. Each section had a worksheet that went along with the point it was making, and very literally you put to paper your priorities and your plan for getting them back in line. I loved it.

This post may be more questions than answers. . .
I was with a group last night & we were talking about The Reader. I left with more questions than answers. It has been a while since I read the book, and I saw the movie a month or so ago.
The movie was ok for me. If you’ve read the book, you know how short it is & so to make it a full length movie, they had to add to it. When I read the book, the climax for me …

The other day I mentioned that I was also reading two personal / professional development books. One of them is Choose Your Life by Jim Huling. I’m reading this as part of a book club with WLA – Women’s Leadership Alliance – that is professional leadership development organization at Piedmont.

When this book was announced as the next book club selection, I knew I would sign up. Just the title appeals to me. I am a huge advocate of personal responsibility and that you have and live the life you …

. . .but I didn’t think it would be this fast.

Some marketing guru has published a list of the 10 reasons why you should NOT have a blog. Infrequent postings is way up there. For a company that wants to appear “hip” and up-to-speed with social media, the obvious solution is “have a blog!” However, those who study social media see that having something that isn’t used or kept up to date is worse than having it at all.

I didn’t think I would get there this quick; so to anyone …
